In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus commissioned His followers to go into the whole world, baptizing people in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and transforming them into disciples (Matthew 28:16–20). Inspirational and impactful media
Since the launch of the JESUS film in 1979, we’ve witnessed first-hand the incredible impact film has on people all over the world. By God’s grace, we have translated this movie into more than 2,100 languages, leading to more than 660 million decisions to follow Jesus. Being able to hear Jesus’ words in one’s own heart language is life-changing. We’re convinced that film is one of the most effective evangelism tools in the world. . Our media library includes an ever-growing catalog of biblically-based films, children’s series, inspirational and instructional videos, and conversation-inspiring short films. Plus, we recently announced a new ground-breaking animated film about the life of Jesus set to release in 2026. This new film will reach countless people across cultures, languages and multiple generations with the story of Jesus.
Game-changing evangelism equipment
Our mission has its obstacles. Some countries are resistant to the gospel, requiring thoughtful outreach solutions. Other places lack Wi-Fi or even electricity. Even so, we’re committed to using media to reach remote and resistant places. To overcome these hurdles, Jesus Film Project® works with partners to equip missionaries with the tools necessary to share Jesus-centered media even in the most challenging areas.
This includes equipment like backpack kits that allow people to carry a small projector, collapsible screen, tripod stand, microphone and amplifier right on their backs. These kits enable teams to show videos for up to 300 people. Larger kits are also available for even larger film showings. Teams can also use solar panels to power the equipment when electricity isn’t available.
NewLifeBox™ kits are pocket-sized, battery-powered hotspot devices that can establish a wi-fi signal to an area of 150 feet (46 meters). When someone within that range is hunting for an open wi-fi connection, they automatically receive a message asking if they would like to watch a movie about the life of Jesus. They can then download and watch the JESUS film on their device in their own language. This device is perfect for teams to covertly share media in places where the gospel is not welcome, using public places like parks, train stations or markets.

Tools for making Jesus known
On top of providing equipment for people sharing Jesus around the world, we also want to make it easy for people to share the gospel with others in their own communities. One tool we’ve created for this purpose is the Jesus Film Project mobile app. This free app puts more than 200 pieces of media, including full-length movies, inspirational videos and short films, in anyone’s pocket. Users can share these powerful films with others or even encourage others to download the app themselves.
Many of the films in our media library are also accessible on the Jesus Film Project website or on YouTube, and you can even get DVDs to watch and distribute.
