What’s next for Jesus Film Project?
In 2022 we announced that, by God’s grace, we had translated the JESUS film into 2,000 languages. Since then, we’ve added at least one hundred more translations. In a world where not everyone has access to the Bible in their language, or in some cases, even a written language, each translation of this film represents access to the gospel for another people group.
We are now following in the footsteps of organizations like Wycliffe Bible Translators, using AI (artificial intelligence) in the film-translation process. AI can expedite this process and sync the speaker’s voice with the characters’ mouth movements more naturally, offering viewers a more immersive experience.
The coming animated JESUS movie
Last year, we made another exciting announcement: we are in the process of producing a feature-length animated family film about the life of Jesus. This new film will combine the biblical and historical story of Jesus with the skills of digital artists who have worked on films from Pixar, Disney and in the Star Wars franchise. It will reach new generations of people all over the world with the good news of God’s love.

Making the gospel accessible to everyone
We’re passionate about ensuring that everyone, everywhere has access to the message of Jesus. This passion has spurred us to be about more than just film. We work closely with partners to ensure that pastors, missionaries and regional staff members have access to the necessary equipment to make gospel-centered media content available in every region, even in remote and rural areas without access to streaming technology.
This equipment includes solar-powered panels, batteries, projectors, tablets and SD cards. We provide tablets loaded with Jesus Film Project resources so people––no matter where they are––can learn more about Jesus and discover what it means to follow Him.
In this increasingly interconnected, digital world, we’re always looking for new ways to connect with seekers all over the globe. For instance, a NewLifeBox™ kit includes a piece of technology that fits right in your pocket. When someone locates the device’s Wi-Fi signal, they receive a message that allows them to accept, download and watch the JESUS film and many other pieces of Jesus Film Project media. This means that even in places that are difficult to reach with the gospel, people can find and experience Jesus in their heart language.
The free Jesus Film Project mobile app (available in the Apple store and on Google Play) makes hundreds of feature-length movies, short films and inspirational videos available to watch and share. It’s an ideal tool for people who share Jesus-centered media with others or want to enjoy uplifting films.
