Pakistan

The greatest gospel gap in the world is in 50 countries—these countries have barely any new, thriving churches. And nearly 75% of all the world’s unreached people (3.6 billion) live in 12 of those 50 countries. The people in these 12 countries have the least access to the gospel in their own language.

We can engage in strategic, focused prayer for the 12 countries of the world that are least reached with the gospel without ever leaving home.

Every month in 2025 we’ll feature one of these countries, familiarize you with its culture and share prayer requests addressing the country’s specific needs. We believe the light of Jesus can shine through!

All About Pakistan

Although Pakistan ranks as the 33rd largest country by area, covering more than 300,000 square miles, it is the 5th most populous nation in the world. With a little over 241 million people, Pakistan is one of the most densely populated countries globally.

The world’s second tallest mountain, K2, is in Pakistan. People who live nearby have another name for it:  “Chogori,” meaning “big mountain” in Balti, the local language.

Urdu, Pakistan’s national language, serves as a symbol of national identity, while English is used for official and legal matters, in higher education, business and governmental communications.

Jesus Film Project® has media in 46 of the languages spoken in Pakistan.

Cricket isn’t just a sport in Pakistan; it’s a national passion. The country has produced some of the greatest cricket players in history and the excitement for the game is undeniable during international matches.

The Thar Desert’s dunes are known to “sing” due to the movement of sand grains under the wind, which produce a strange, almost musical sound. It’s as if the desert has its own soundtrack, turning a simple walk into an auditory adventure.

Some Christians in Pakistan hope to reach their neighborhoods for Jesus using a strategy of showing short films and videos. Ask God to provide the equipment, supplies and workers needed for outreaches of this kind.
